Advocating for Children’s Emotional Wellness
The Extraordinary Lives Foundation (ELF) was proud to be acknowledged by Representative Young Kim, who recently recognized September as National Children's Emotional Wellness Month.
City of Mission Viejo, CA
May 7th to 13th of 2023 was proclaimed by the Council to be Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week in recognition that addressing the emotional and mental health needs of children and youth today is fundamental to the future. September 2024 was also proclaimed as Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month by the City’s Council.
City of Tustin, CA
The City of Tustin recognized September 2024 as Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
California House Resolution
Authored by 74th District Assemblywoman Laurie Davies and backed by California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, the house resolution was presented to the Extraordinary Lives Foundation at the state capital in Sacramento on September 1, 2023.
The Extraordinary Lives Foundation continues to expand our Piggie Bear emotional wellness tools. We are working on additional Piggie Bear children's books to help share important teachings and provide valuable resources to children and their families. We cannot wait to share these wonderful projects and resources with you.
